Privacy
Last updated 2026-05-05.
Chumlord stores all of its data on your iPhone. There is no backend, no account, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Nothing is transmitted off the device.
What's stored locally
- Friends you add: name, optional phone number, optional photo, the cadence you set, optional status emoji, optional next-catchup date.
- Catchup events you log.
- Frequency tiers you create or edit.
Permissions
Each is requested only when you tap the action that needs it.
- Contacts — when you add a friend from your contacts. Not copied or transmitted.
- Photos — when you pick an image to attach to a friend. Stored locally.
- Camera — only if you choose to take a custom photo for a friend.
Deleting
Deleting a friend in the app removes that friend and their catchups. Deleting the app removes everything.
